2016-2017 Semester 2

Week 15

4/25/17

Today, we had a presentation from the people that went to the FRC World championships. THey talked to us about the experiences that they had there. That was basically the entire period. Keilah and I were going to present our bill of materials and our finalized Sketchup model to Dr. Neato and Mr. Miller today, but unfortunately, with the presentation taking the entire period, we didn't have the opportunity.

4/26/17

Today, I wasn't here because today was the day of the field trip to the March Airfield Museum. We were supposed to show up by 7:15 and leave by 7;30. but we started actually signing up at around 7:30, and got on the bus at around 7:40. Keilah was having car troubles and almost didn't make it in time, but I stalled the bus for about 20 minutes and Keilah was able to make it in time. At the museum, we were shown the various aircraft that were used starting from World War II. After the tour, we went to the gift shop, and I bought a fake aviation hat for one of my little brothers. Afterwards, we went to the memorium commemorating those that received the national medal of honor, (I think that was what it was called) took some pictures, and then went to Hometown Buffet to finishy things off with a late lunch. By the time we got back to CV, literally everyone on our bus was sleeping, with their mouths wide open to boot.

4/27/17

Today we started the period by announcing the results of the boat Wednesday Challenge from last week. I didn't have anything to do with that Wednesday Challenge, so for the most part, I ignored it. I worked with Keialh to get the finalized bill of materials and sketchup to Mr. Miller. Afterwards, I helped Connor with building the hydraulic press for longboards. While I was doing that, I helped the people that were trying to print their longboard templates. For the bill of materials, we ended up needing about seventeen 2 by 4s and two 1/2" plywood sheets.

4/28/17

Today Keilah and I went to Office Depot to get some stuff for his AFJROTC senior project, and then I got some fries at Senior Nacho. During 5th period, we started by watching a video of a space exploration mission that had been conceptualized in the mid 1850s. The goal of the mission was to take pictures from inside the rings of Saturn, and the total cost of the mission totaled up to 3.6 billion dollars. Afterwards, we moved on to working on whatever rexpective jobs we had to do. As the perion in charge of supervising the longboard people, I helped a couple of people print their longboard templates, and then I was mostly free to try and help Keilah finalize the powerpoint presentation that would let us go ahead to the next stage of the material storage bins. When I got home, I actually remembered for once to update my website on Filezilla before it was probably going to be graded.
